Hydrochloric Acid

Chemical Formula: HCl

Hydrochloric acid is a strong acid & it is a product of Chloro alkali process. Hydrochloric acid is sold in concentration of around 35% in plastic cans or drums.

Applications

One of the most important applications of hydrochloric acid is in the pickling of steel, to remove rust or iron oxide scale from iron or steel before subsequent processing such as galvanizing, extrusion or rolling.
